Hey I’m Carrie, I’m an Integrative Nutrition Health and Wellness Coach. I started well well well because I wanted to create an initiative that educates and encourages people to make healthier lifestyle choices but also a space where they can connect with someone who will give them the personal support they need to achieve their wellness goals and make sustainable lifestyle changes for the better.
Having graduated in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Birmingham, I fell into the steady cycle of working an office job in a busy city. After nearly a decade of enjoying all (and I mean all) that a big city and a job in media had to offer, I became aware that I was merely coasting through an existence with little to show for the work I’d done and no end game in sight.
I realised then that I wanted more from life, I knew that there was more to me, more than I’d achieved so far and more than I was set to achieve on my current trajectory, I wanted to live my life better.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results – Einstein
Stuck with my mind in an endless loop replaying Einstein’s quote (ironic), I made my decision that something had to change. I reallocated some of my savings, sought the refuge of a fitness retreat and enlisted the help of a life coach. A combination of the two, amongst other stimuli, had me re-evaluate and change course.
I’ve been passionate about my own health and fitness for as long as I can remember. I’ve read blogs, followed the stories of enumerable industry figureheads, researched/tried every dietary theory under the sun and I was regularly doling out health advice to anyone who would listen but, until I’d reached that point…that one I mentioned earlier, where my current situation was no longer severing me, I’d never even considered the prospect of putting all that time, practice and knowledge towards serving those around me.
So today that is what I do. I consistently make minor changes to move myself forward, carving a path to that which makes me happy in the most holistic, balanced way possible and I do the same with the clients that I work with. Together we deal with everything from stress to bad skin, from fatigue to chronic pain, from weight loss to mood stabilisation, discovering that often the smallest, personal, nutritional and lifestyle changes can improve physical well-being, mental strength and overall happiness for years to come. For me, it’s a no brainer!
